Roy Keane on Sunderland's 3-0 defeat by Wigan: "A Sunderland fan said towards the dug-out 'You should be ashamed of yourselves', and I couldn't argue with that. I am pretty ashamed today, I have to say. They were shouting it at me and I take that on board. I am ashamed today, very ashamed." Wigan boss Steve Bruce: "It is very enjoyable to come and win a game any time against quality opposition, a big Premier League team. It was very nice." Everton manager David Moyes after his side slumped to defeat to Oldham: "It wasn't a vastly weakened team at all, in fact I felt it was a strong team. I would have expected that the team I put out would have been good enough to win." Birmingham boss Alex McLeish after his side's shock 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield: "The Premier League is our priority and it remains our priority but we wanted to win this match, no question. The players will be embarrassed by it because they'll get bad headlines and so will I. That is the position we are in." Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand on whether he regards the competition as an inconvenience: "It's up there with the top things to win. We don't go into any competition thinking we don't care about the tournament. I think that's disrespectful for the tournament. If we could win that cup, it would be fantastic." Huddersfield manager Andy Ritchie: "We rode our luck on one or two occasions but we had the chances. It's fantastic for the town, the fans and not least the players. But it's back down to earth on Monday." Bolton boss Gary Megson on the seven changes he made before falling 1-0 to Sheffield United: "I do not regret making those changes. We picked a team with an eye on what has gone on with most of the players having a lot of games in a short space of time. A lot of clubs have done this today. The disappointment is that a number of players did not take the chance given to them. They are highly-paid Premier League squad members, who did not rise to the challenge." Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate on their 2-1 win over Bristol City: "We played in a controlled manner and I was pleased with the way we responded to going behind. It would have been easy to panic but we kept passing the ball." Coventry manager Iain Dowie on how his side's 4-1 demolition of Blackburn compared to the Sky Blues' 2-0 Carling Cup win over Manchester United earlier this season: "I think it probably is better. The FA Cup is the best cup competition in the world. To come to a place like this and play a side like Blackburn is magnificent." Sven-Goran Eriksson on Nery Castillo, who made his debut in the goalless draw with West Ham: "He is a new player, coming to a new country, a new club with a new style of football and he can't speak very much English - when you think about all that he was brilliant. He started the game absolutely fantastic. He has quick feet, good technique, very seldom gives the ball away and has a lot of pace. He will be an important player for us in the future. He was very, very good." Hammers boss Alan Curbishley: "I am delighted what our players have done defensively but we just need a bit more going the other way." Avram Grant after Chelsea's 1-0 win over QPR: "It was a typical Cup game. We did our job, that is most important for me. We are in the next round. In the Cup it is important to do your job and we did that." Chasetown boss Charlie Blakemore after his side's gallant 3-1 reverse against Cardiff: "It's just been an absolute dream. I was really in dreamland when we scored and it's just a shame when we couldn't have perhaps held the lead until half-time. I'm the proudest man in the whole of the world today of my lads because they have been just awesome."

Moyes would be shocked with Everton's exit but since they are doing very well in the prem it wouldn't fuss him to be gone. Well done Chasetown for getting this far it shows dreams still can come true. |
